O kurze

This course helps first-year secondary school students develop confident spoken English at B1 level. Students learn how to organise ideas, use topic-specific vocabulary, and speak fluently for up to three minutes without interruption. Through guided models, structured speaking frames, vocabulary support, and regular speaking practice, learners build confidence for oral exams and real-life communication.

Topic 1: Family and Friends
Lessons include: a) Family vocabulary: members, appearance, personality b) Describing one family member in detail c) Best friend: appearance, character, hobbies d) 3-minute speaking frame e) Independent speaking task Key speaking structure taught: • Introduction • Description (appearance and personality) • Daily life and hobbies • Personal opinion

  • Lesson 1: Introducing Your Family (clear, organised speaking)
  • Lesson 2: Describing One Family Member in Detail (appearance + personality)
  • Lesson 3: My Best Friend (detailed description + shared activities)
  • Lesson 4: The 3-Minute Speaking System (linkers + expansion tricks)

Topic 2: Young People and Free Time
Speaking goal: Talk about lifestyle, interests, and future plans. Lessons include: a) Hobbies and free time vocabulary b) Life of Slovak teenagers c) Problems and challenges of young people d) Future plans and ambitions e) Erasmus-style presentation task

Topic 3: Food and Drinks
